I joined the financial industry because of my passion for financial planning and providing financial advice. Over the last 7 years, I have focused on financial education and dedicated my practice to helping people develop strong financial plans that will successfully carry them through their retirement years.
I grew up in the Okanogan Valley of north central Washington and moved to southern Idaho with my family as a teenager, where I enlisted in the Army at 18. During my time in the service, I earned my BA in History from Boise State University as well as my commission as an Officer. I served in various locations around the country and served 4 tours in Iraq in several different leadership roles. My final five years in the Army included serving as a Project Manager on a $10 Billion weapons defense program and earning my MBA and a subsequent M.S. in Finance.
My wife and I recently moved to Ferndale, Washington from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and have four kids ranging in age from 13 to 27. Some of our favorite activities include traveling, exploring outdoors and playing golf.
